A search for a non-possessory pledge is performed on the centralized national file maintained by the National Council of French Court and Trade Registrars (Conseil National des Greffiers des Tribunaux de Commerce).
This file contains all pledges recorded at the Commercial Court Registries and the Registries of the Tribunaux d'instance and Tribunaux de grande instance that hear commercial cases in Metropolitan France and the overseas départements.
